Software for surface topography analysis

SolarMap is a powerful software package dedicated to the analysis of data issued from various metrology systems such as profilometers, contact or laser topography instruments, AFM, STM, interferential microscopes, and other measurement instruments.

The software functions under various platforms (Windows 95, 98, Millenium, NT4 and NT2000) and is able to read all the major data file formats in the market, it is therefore an ideal complementary analysis tool to almost any data acquisition software.

SolarMap also complies with the latest international ISO specifications on surface texture analysis and is available in six different languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese - Kanji).

SolarMap offers a variety of features, making it a very comprehensive and easy to use software package. Each analysis is done within one frame, which can be moved and resized as desired without having to open many windows on the screen. The desktop publishing facilities also allow to create reports within the same product and include template documents as well as several word processor functions.

SolarMap comes in different versions:

• SolarMap Profile allows the analysis of surface texture in 2D (roughness, waviness, form, step-height, etc.)
  
  
• SolarMap Universal is a complete software package including all the 2D features of SolarMap Profile plus 3D topography analysis.
  
  Depending on your specific application, the Grain Module can be added to SolarMap Universal: It enables to count, classify and quantify grains on a background.
  
  
• SolarMap Skin provides various functions for cosmetic evaluation and surface texture characterization.
  
  
• SolarMap Form is dedicated to the analysis of flatness of surfaces, form defects and the wear on materials.
